Youth Job Connection
Youth Job Connection is for unemployed young people (15 to 29 years old) facing challenges or complex barriers to finding work. These barriers include some combination of challenging life circumstances such as poverty or homelessness, limited work experience, a disability, low levels of education, or experiencing discrimination. The program offers opportunities for young people to learn about jobs and gain work experience so that they may secure long-term and meaningful employment. Through Youth Job Connection, you get:
For the year-round Youth Job Connection program, you must be between 15 and 29 years old, unemployed, not attending full-time school, and a resident of Ontario.
Youth Job Connection: Summer
Youth Job Connection: Summer also helps youth who face challenges or complex barriers to finding work, but is specifically for high school students (15 to 18 years old). You get:
For Youth Job Connection: Summer, you must be between 15 and 18 years old, a resident of Ontario, and planning to stay in high school or to move on to postsecondary education.
Youth Job Link
Youth Job Link is for young people (15 to 29 years old) who need help planning their careers and moving from school to work. Through Youth Job Link, you will:
The program also offers a job-matching service to help connect eligible participants with employers. You must be 15 to 29 years old to qualify for Youth Job Link. You can be in school or not, and you don’t have to be unemployed to get help.
