Student volunteers are a vital part of the Job Fair team that help the event to function effectively. Besides helping ensure that the Job Fair is a success, volunteers will have the opportunity to meet and network with employers, while demonstrating their initiative, capabilities, and employability in practical and useful ways!
What do volunteers do?
Volunteers help to represent the University of Windsor, St. Clair College, and the Job Fair organizing committee by maintaining a positive demeanour at all times. In general, volunteers should be ready to respond to any reasonable need or request an employer or representative might have. For example, volunteers help to unload vehicles, carry displays, organize materials for displays, answer questions, and get water and coffee. Volunteers may also assist students and alumni attending the fair by answering a variety of questions about the event.
Volunteers must have a “can-do” attitude: As a volunteer, always think, “What can we do?” and not, “What can't we do?” Help find answers and solutions to problems, not reasons “why not.”
Again, volunteers will have the opportunity to leave lasting, favourable impressions with participating employer representatives.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Job Fair, please call 519-253-4461 and indicate which shift(s) you are available (see below for times and descriptions). You will be contacted to confirm your schedule and volunteer assignments.
Volunteer Shift Descriptions
Volunteers who are assigned to a shift will be required to report ahead of the specified start time and perform some or all of the listed duties. Actual responsibilities may differ slightly.
Set-up Crew (8:00-10:30am)
Welcome Crew - Shift #1 (8:30-10:30am); Shift # 2 (10am-12pm); Shift #3 (12-2pm)
Registration Table Shift #1 (8-10am)
Registration Table Shift #2 (10am-12pm); Shift #3 (12-2pm)
Runners Shift #1 (10am-12pm); Shift #2 (12-2pm)
Employers’ Lunch Area (12-1:30pm)
